Hewlett Packard BIOS support is excellent in most cases. I have not had any problems so far restoring this makers machines. The web site is easy to navigate and files can be found and downloaded easily.

Presario 1200 XL111 and 1200 XL121The Presario 1200 XL111 and 1200 XL121 have an Atmel AT49F002T fitted as standard. These chips can be replaced with a Winbond W49F002UP12B PLCC chip as above, the footprint for the PLCC chip is on the other side of the mainboard under or near the modem. The old TSOP chip would have to be removed. We can supply the PLCC 32 socket and a winbond W49F002UP12B chip as a replacement for the Atmel TSOP. |
