Pre Flashed Asus BIOS Chips-EEPROM
Preflashed BIOS Chips are available for most Asus mainboards. Items are programmed with the latest Non Beta BIOS available. If you need a beta BIOS Please let us know when you order.
You can buy using the buttons below. If your Motherboard isn't in the list Email us the mainboard details and we can prepare one for you.
Asus BIOS Reference
Asus provide excellent support for their products. In most cases we are able to provide a programmed BIOS chip for Asus Retail Mainboards, Desktops and Laptops. Some Asus OEM BIOS are available here also.
SPI Programming Headers
Asus are now using SPI Serial Flash EEPROM on new mainboards and laptops. Some of the Desktop mainboards have SPI Headers for reprogramming the BIOS chip.
Asus Mainboards with or without an SPI header and a soldered EEPROM can be sent to us for reprogramming.
If you need to send in a board with an SPI header for programming please contact us in the first instance. We keep good range of SPI Serial Flash EEPROM in stock in both PDIP and SOIC packages.

Mac Address IssuesSome of the P5K Series Boards have issues with their MAC address after restoring or supplying an updated EEPROM. It would appear that the mac address is stored in the cmos part. A MAC address change utility has to be used to restore the original MAC address for the onboard network card. The original MAC address is usually located somewhere on the motherboard. Failing that you can probably use the mac address of any old network card as they are all supposed to be quite unique |
