Acer Ferrari 1100 BIOS Chip Location
The first example of this machine we came across had an SPI serial flash EEPROM fitted as a BIOS Part. The original BIOS part fitted was a Winbond SPI Serial Flash EEPRROM W25X16VSS1G.
We were able to replace the /BIOS part with the SST 25VF016B 50-4C-S2AF.
Great care needs to be taken removing and refitting the part. Hot air Station would be recommended for removal and refitting the EEPROM. The important factor is not to damage the tracks during removal and refitting the device
