There is a charge of 50% of service cost that needs to be paid before using the service which is NON Refundable regardless of the outcome of any repair attempt.If we are not able to repair your Laptop then this amount covers our expenses and return shipping in the UK. Removable BIOSSome older Laptops often have removable EEPROM and the BIOS can be serviced quite easily. However this is not typical of all Laptops and is certainly not the case with most modern Laptops. There are cases where the manufacturer no longer supports the board and will not supply the BIOS Files needed to complete the repair. It really depends on the individual companies policies. Some will not help if your machine is out of warranty. Laptop Heat exchanger-Fan ServicingLaptop Heat exchanger-Fan Servicing. Laptops due to their compact design need to have a good air flow through the heat exchanger, if the heat exchanger is blocked with dust it wont be long before your machine develops more serious issues. Fans and heat exchangers are serviced as part of the Laptop Soldered BIOS repair service. BIOS BackupsIf you have your BIOS backed up and need a chip programmed just send me a copy with the BIOS chip part number and I will prepare one for you. If you have a Phoenix BIOS and have backed up your BIOS before flashing the new BIOS, then the old BIOS may be in a Temp directory on your hard drive somewhere. if you saved to a custom location then you should know where the backup is. If the rom files are not available from the maker then this file can be used to restore the machine |
