DIY Soldered BIOS Repair

Unless you have exstensive Soldering Experience, we would Not Recomend you try Fitting a Soldered BIOS Chip Yourself.

I strongly suggest you send your machine in to us rather than attempt this yourself if you are not Familiar with electronic repair proceedures.

You are very welcome to use our Soldered  Mainboard BIOS Repair Services, and doing so may save you having to replace your mainboard.

Conventional Chip Removal Methods

A Hot air Rework Station, IR Station, Heated Tweezers, or Quick Chip Alloy are Probably the Most convinient methods of removing your Soldered BIOS Chips. 

Using a Hot Air Station

When Using a hot air station Raise the Ambient Temperature in the workplace to an almost uncomfortable level for best results.

Solder Suckers

Never Use a Sprung Vacum type Solder Sucker on SMD Footprints as you Will also suck up the footprint Pads. Solder Soaker Braide may be used to clean the footprint if needed.

DIY Soldered PLCC BIOS Chip Removal

This article is designed for people that do not have access to a Hot Air Station, or any other expensive equipment and is only meant for PLCC Types and DIP types

If you do not take care performing this procedure, your motherboard could end up beyond repair. I don't suggest you try this without first practicing on an old board to see where you are going to fail if at all.
